Several student-athletes representing the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) 12 academic institutions will be in Birmingham, Ala. this weekend for the 2019 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

In all, five men and five women will vie for national titles in their respective events. Norfolk State's Martha Bissah is the top seed in the women's 800 meters, thanks to the converted 2:02.58 she ran earlier in the indoor season. Kayla White of North Carolina A&T State, who for much of the season had the fastest 200-meter time in the world this year at 22.82, is seeded second in that event.

White will compete in both the 200 meters and the 60-meter hurdles; she will be joined in the latter by teammate Madeleine Akobundu.

Of the 10 MEAC student-athletes in Birmingham this weekend, five are from North Carolina A&T State, which has swept the men's and women's indoor conference titles each of the last three seasons -- the first program in MEAC history to accomplish that feat.

Here is a list, by event, of MEAC student-athletes in competition:
