BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Bethune-Cookman, North Carolina A&T State and Savannah State spent the weekend in Birmingham, Ala. as they participated in a pair of meets hosted by Alabama Birmingham at the Birmingham Crossplex. NCAT freshman Trevor Stewart was the top performer as his first-place finish in the 400 moved him to ninth nationally.

Albany Great Dane Classsic

STATEN ISLAND, NY - Norfolk State was the lone MEAC team to participate at the Albany Great Dane Classic this weekend in Staten Island, NY. Martha Bissah led the way with a win in the 1,000-meter run and a third-place performance in the mile.

HBCU BATTLE

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Morgan State men's and women's track and field teams claimed both team titles at the inaugural Historically Black Colleges & Universities Battle in New York. The meet was held on Friday at New Balance Track and Field Center as Coppin State, Delaware State, Howard and Maryland Eastern Shore also participated.

TOWSON TIGER INVITATIONAL

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Delaware State and Maryland Eastern Shore remained in New York on Saturday as several members from both teams took place in the Towson Invitational.

HBCU INVITATIONAL

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Hampton's Moffat Wanjiru won both the 60 and 200-meter dashes and participated on the first-place mile relay team at the HBCU Indoor Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C. The Florida A&M men also had a solid day in the throws while the FAMU women had an all-around performance with eight first-place finishes. North Carolina Central also participated in Monday's meet at the JDL Fast Track.
