Savannah State's Hall Finishes 17th at Olympic Trials

EUGENE, Ore. – Former Savannah State University men’s track athlete Cameron Hall finished sixth in the third heat and 17th overall with a time of 13.93 in the semifinal round of the 110-meter hurdles at the Olympic Trials Saturday at the Hayward Field.

Friday, Hall finished 14th overall, fourth in the third heat, with a time of 13.76 in the rain in the first round to qualify for the semifinal round as 18 runners advanced.

Hall missed out on advancing to the finals as only eight runners advanced to the finals, the top two in each of the three heats and the next two fastest times, which is set for 8:52 p.m. Saturday. 

The St. Marys, Ga., native entered the Olympic Trials with the 30th fastest time in the nation of 13.61, which he set at the National Collegiate Athletic Associate Championship in Eugene in 2015.
