Norfolk State's Watts Receives USTFCCCA Certification

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State University men’s track and field assistant coach Malcolm Watts was recently awarded the Track & Field Academy’s Women & Minority Scholarship to cover a strength and conditioning coaching certification course offered by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The scholarship covered the tuition cost for Watts to attend the TFA 310 – Strength & Conditioning Coaching Certification course offered last weekend in Athens, Ga. By passing this course, Watts is considered to be a certified strength and conditioning coach with emphasis on track and field.

Watts recently completed his 10th year working with the Spartan track and field programs. He primarily works with the NSU sprinters and relay teams.
