MEAC HONORS EIGHT MEN?S AND WOMEN?S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD GRADUATING SENIORS

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) recognized eight graduating track and field student-athletes on Saturday afternoon at the Irwin Belk Track during the 2016 MEAC Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

The ceremony took place at noon, with the seniors who would miss their graduation on their respective campuses due to their athletic commitments at the championships.

“We want to salute these eight student-athletes who have earned their baccalaureate degrees while maintaining their athletic commitment to their institution, teammates and coaches,” MEAC Commissioner Dennis Thomas said. “Although they are not able to celebrate with their graduating class at their institution, we are excited to recognize these young men and women for their hard work and dedication in the classroom and hopes this ceremony, in their honor, shows our gratitude for their dedication to procuring their degrees.”
