BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Hampton University seniors Ce’aira Brown and Trey Holloway both advanced to the finals of their respective events on Friday at the 2016 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Samford University.
Brown broke her own school record in the process.
She ran a personal-best 2:04.72 in advancing in the women’s 800-meter run, winning her heat race and winding up seventh overall.
Holloway was sixth overall in the men’s 60-meter hurdles after running a 7.75.
The finals for both events will be held on Saturday; the 60-meter hurdles final will be held at 4:25 p.m. CST, with the women’s 800-meter run final going off at 5:20 p.m. CST.
