ORLANDO, Fla. – The Florida A&M Men’s Track Team put on a strong performance here at at the UCF Outdoor Track Invitational Saturday, recording five event wins enroute to 19 Top 10 finishes.
The Rattlers were victorious in both relays – the 4x100 (Dennis Pugh, Robert Carter, Shayne Rodney, Jonathan Butler) winning in 41.55, and the 4x400 (Isaiah Smith, Pugh, Rodney, and McDaniel Olivier), winning in 3:23.57.
Pugh was victorious in the 400 meter hurdles (52.57), with Olivier grabbing second (54.08); Rodney was the winner in the 100 meter dash (10.97), with Jonathan Butler running fourth (11.15); and Well Jeudi won the triple jump with a distance of 14.64 meters.
Rodney also ran third in the 200 meters (21.99); Dennis McGee was third in the shot put (15.21 meters); `Joseph Garcia ran fourth in the 5000 (15.59.79); Pugh was fourth in the 400, 48.32; Dennis Kipkogsei ran fourth in the 800 (1:59.02) and seventh in the 1500 (4:04.25), and Demetrio Henderson placed fourth in the discus (47.07 meters).
