NORFOLK, Va. – South Carolina State’s Jared Jeter and Morgan State’s Shenel Crooke were chosen as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track Athletes of the Week. Maryland Eastern Shore’s Dillon Simon and Jess St. John of Morgan State were named the MEAC Men’s and Women’s Field Athletes of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Jeter (Sprints, Jr., Greenwood, S.C.) finished second in the 400m, with a time of 47.83, at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational.
Crooke (Sprints, So., Basseterre, St. Kitts) captured a first-place victory at the Wake Forest Open, with a time of 11.80.
Simon (Thrower, Sr., Roseau, Dominica) broke the school record in the shot put held by Kimani Korton, with a toss of 18.92m (62.07 ft.), at the Wake Forest Open. He also won the discus with a mark of 60.13m.
St. John (Jumps, Fr. St. John, Antigua) registered a second-place finish in the shot put, with a mark of 14.41m (47-03.50 ft.)

Cheyenne Bellerand (HOW) finished second in the shot put, at 46-6.25 ft., at the VCU Ram Invitational.
Karissa Bertling (SCSU) placed fourth in the 200m, with a time of 24.41, at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational.
Joseph Boyd (NSU) recorded a second-place finish in the high jump, with a mark of 1.96m (6.43 ft.), at the Virginia Cup.
Tatianna Clark (NCAT) finished ninth in the triple jump, with a mark of 11.56m (37-11.25 ft.), at the Shamrock Invitational.
Reneazia Collins (NCAT) registered a seventh-place finish in the 100m, with a time of 12.09, at the Shamrock Invitational.
Rajae Gayle (HOW) won the shot put at the VCU Ram Invitational, with a toss of 48-6.25 ft.
Shantol Hemley (UMES) set a personal-best in the 800m, with a time of 2:11.68, at the Wake Forest Open.
Giovanni Mowatt (HOW) placed first in the 1,500m, at the VCU Ram Invitational, with a time of 3:58.00.
Marquis Noble (NCAT) finished third in the long jump, with a mark of 7.10m (23-3.25 ft.), at the Shamrock Invitational.
Wallace Spencer (HOW) won the 400m, with a time of 53.79, at the VCU Ram Invitational.
