NORFOLK, Va. – North Carolina A&T State’s Maurice Eaddy and Florida A&M’s Ashley Ivey were chosen as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s and Women’s Track Athletes of the Week. Bethune-Cookman’s Ed’Ricus Williams and Desiree Richardson were named the MEAC Men’s and Women’s Field Athletes of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Eaddy (Sprints, So., Silver City, N.C.) won the 60m at the Virginia Tech Invitational, with a conference-best time of 6.67 seconds.
Ivey (Hurdles, Jr., Sandersville, Ga.) registered a personal-best time of 7.98 seconds to win the 55m at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational.
Williams (Jumps, So., Warrenton, Ga.) recorded a season-best leap of 2.08m (6-09.75 ft.) at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational to capture first.
Richardson (Throws, Sr., Minneapolis, Minn.) won the shot put and finished third in the weight throw at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational. She threw an event-best 14.15m (46-05.25 ft.) to win the shot put and tossed 16.37m (53-08.50 ft.) in the weight throw.

Reneazia Collins (NCAT) placed third at the Virginia Tech Invitational, with a time of 55.97, in the 400m.
Francesca Evans (NCAT) finished second in the triple jump at 39-5 ft. at the Virginia Tech Invitational.
Christopher Jackson (B-CU) aided the Wildcats to a second-place finish in the 800m, with a time of 1:55.31, at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational.
Jheniel Kelly (UMES) ran a personal-best time of 2:14.08 in the 800m at the Metro Team Challenge.
Julia Mills-Porter (B-CU) placed second in the 800m, with a time of 2:15.85, at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational.
Donisha Porter (UMES) set a personal best toss of 11.77m in the shot put at the Metro Team Challenge.
Frank Quarles (NCAT) finished second in the long jump, with a mark of 25-2 ft., at the Virginia Tech Invitational.
Khalil Rmidi Kinini (UMES) recorded a fourth-place finish in the 1,000m, with a time of 2:30.26, at the Metro Team Challenge.
Shane Rodney (FAMU) finished second in the 60m dash, with a time of 6.95, at the UAB Vulcan Invitational.
Dillon Simon (UMES) won the shot put, with a toss of 18.36m, at the Metro Team Challenge.
