SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Fresh off a successful outdoor campaign, former Hampton University track & field standout Je’Von Hutchison will compete in the men’s 400-meter dash at the USA Outdoor Championships this weekend.
Hutchison was named Second Team All-American by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) earlier this month in the 4x400-meter relay, on top of his Honorable Mention accolades in the 400-meter dash.
He ran a season-best 45.71 in the 400-meter dash at the NCAA East Preliminary last month, which is the 19th-fastest time among declared runners for the event this weekend.
Hutchison was also a Second Team All-MEAC honoree in the 400-meter dash.
The first round of the men’s 400-meter dash will be held on Thursday at 6:05 p.m. local time, with the semifinals on Friday at 7:35 p.m. local time.
The final will take place on Saturday at 2:42 p.m. local time.
