NORFOLK, Va. – Bethune-Cookman’s Tremayne Banks and Hampton’s La’Quisha Parker were chosen as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s and Women’s Track Athletes of the Week. Bethune-Cookman’s Kenneth Fisher and Deidra Jordan were named the MEAC Men’s and Women’s Field Athletes of the Week, the conference announced on Thursday.
Banks (Jr., Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) placed second in the 110m hurdles, with a time of 14:27, at the CCU Shamrock Invitational.
Parker (Jr., Silver Spring, Md.) won the 200m, with a time of 23.72, at the Virginia Cup.
Fisher (Fr., East Point, Ga.) won the triple jump, with a leap of 15.21m (49-11.00 ft.), and the long jump - 7.29m (23-11.00 ft.) - at the CCU Shamrock Invitational.
Jordan (Jr., Swainsboro, Ga.) captured first in the Heptathlon, with a score of 4,539 points, which was the MEAC’s top score of the season, at the CCU Shamrock Invitational.

Kiara Howell (NSU) notched a pair of top-five finishes in the discus and javelin at the Virginia Cup.
Edose Ibadin (Hampton) placed first in the 400m at the Virginia Cup, with a time of 48.48.
Clifton Thompson (NSU) recorded a toss of 47.87m (157-01 ft.) in the discus at the Virginia Cup.
