COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Delaware State’s Michael Cummings won the Ursinus Pentathlon event on the men’s side Wednesday night, while Shalaya Sidney took second, followed by Brianna Sims finishing third on the women’s side to lead the way for the Hornets.

For Cummings, he finished first out of 11 participants with a 3,086 point total, whereas Sidney completed Wednesday’s competition with 2,930 points to place second out of 13 student-athletes. Sims, meanwhile, totaled 2,899 points to wrap up her third place finish.

Coming up, the Hornets will be back in action on Feb. 7 when they take part in the Collegiate NB Games in Manhattan, N.Y.
