NEW ORLEANS, LA. – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its NCAA Division I All-Americans on June 10, and the FAMU Lady Rattler track team has four members on the squad, with one individual earning two slots and an honorable mention.

Nakia Linson made second team All-American in the 200m dash. She ran 23.33 at the national championship in Eugene, Oregon, earning her the No.15 place in the country. She was also the second leg of the Lady Rattler 4x100m relay team that place No.12 in the country with a time of 44.85. The additional members of the relay team were Dynasty Jones, Jasmine Smith and Ashley Ivey.

Linson also made honorable mention All-American for her performance in the 100m dash. Considered the fastest sprinter in the MEAC for her victory in the 100m dash, she and her teammates avenged their slim defeat in the MEAC championship by besting UMES at the NCAA championship.
