BALTIMORE, Md.- Former Morgan State Lady Bear Allison Randall, who holds the school record in the discus, competed Friday evening at National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica during the Jamaica Amatuer Athletic Association (JAAA) National Senior Trials in an attempt to make the Jamaican Olympic team for the upcoming 2012 London Olympics.
Randall, who earlier in the year set the Jamaican National record with a throw of 61.21 meters, would capture first-place on Friday with a throw of 55.92 meters to advance to the London Olympics.
Randall graduated from MSU last spring with a BS in Physical Education. In addition, to her duties as a student athlete, she worked in the comptroller's office as an office assistant and was an executive board member of the NCNW- MSU section and USS Step Team.
