Rattlers Dominate FAMU Relays
TALLAHASSEE,

- The Florida A&M Lady Rattlers attended the 62nd Annual Webster Surgical Center FAMU Relays at the Robert
“Pete” Griffin Track Complex. The Lady
Rattlers dominated the relay events winning three of the total five relay
events.
Nakia Linson won the first place finish in the 100m dash
in 12.01 in the finals. Richena Louis
finished second in 12.06 and Jasmine Pleasant finished fourth with a time of
12.14.
FAMU’s Team “A” of Linson, Louis, Pleasant and Dynasty
Jones won in a time of 45.84.
Jones took first place in a time of 54.87 in the 400m race.
Hulse carded a fifth place finish in a 55.89 time.
Middle distance runner Ariel Allen won the 800m dash by
more than six seconds, finishing in 2:11.66.
Chandelic Jackson finished third at 2:18.64, while Nichola Listhrop
finished fifth in 2:23.30.
Jackson won the 1500m run in 4:55.41.
In the 4x400m relay Allen, Hulse, Jones and Linson scored
a time of 3:47.19.
In the Sprint Medley, the FAMU “Team A” finished in
3:56.32.
Brittany Jones took first place in the 400m hurdles.
Kinnesha Jones took the top place in the triple
jump. Her leap of 12.20m (40-00.50) captured
her gold in the event.
Sasha-Ann Lebert tossed the discus 44.68m (146-07) to win
that event. Shamona Haughton placed
fifth (35.83m/11701) and Cynia Clark finished eighth at 32.91m (108-00).
In the women’s 3000m steeplechase, Chandelic Jackson
finished third in 12:13.00. Her teammates
finished consecutively after, as Nadine Mulvaney (12:23.00), Clariccia Golden
(12:32.00) and Ciera Williams (12:46.00) took places three through six.
