Hampton senior Reggie Dixon was chosen as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week, while Maryland Eastern Shore senior Vanessa Henry was named MEAC Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Friday.
Dixon (Sr., Plainfield, N.J., Sprints) won the 60m dash final with a time of 6.64 at the Gotham Cup. Dixon also won the 200m dash at the Saturday Night at the Armory Invite with a time of 21.21. His times in both events lead the MEAC and are second and fifth in the nation, respectively.
Henry (Sr., Capital Heights, Md., Throws) won a pair of events to guide the Lady Hawks to a second place finish at the Navy Invitational. Henry tossed 15.95m in the shot put to finish first, and set a Wesley Brown Field House record. She set a new field house and UMES record in the weight throw with a first-place distance of 18.25m.

Willie Calvin (NCCU) was second at the Virginia Tech Invitational with a leap of 2.18m in the high jump.
L'Zerek Chapman (CSU) recorded a personal-best time of 6.85 in the 60m dash at the New York Gotham Cup.
Kemar Clarke (B-CU) was the first collegiate finisher in both the 55m hurdles and 60m hurdles at the UAB Blazer Invite and Jimmy Carnes Indoor Invite.
Ketsia Dornevil (DSU) won the 800m run with a time of 2:14.76 and was a member of the 4x400m relay team that finished in fourth (3:52.11) at the Saturday Night at the Armory Invite.
Shakia Forbes (NCAT) won the long jump with a leap of 6.12m at the Virginia Tech Inviational.
Sean Holston (NSU) captured the gold in the 60m dash (6.70) and the 200m (21.63) at the UNC Dick Taylor Invitational.
Amber Hughes (SSU) earned two second place finishes in the long jump and triple jump at the Jimmy Carnes Indoor Invite.
Kevaughn Laviea (DSU) earned a silver place finish with a time of 1:03.98 in the 500m run at the Saturday Night at the Armory Invite.
Ranita Mealer (MSU) won the shot put titles at the Gotham Cup and Saturday Night at the Armory Invite with marks of 14.45m and 13.40m, respectively.
Breana Norman (Hampton) won the 60m hurdles and was second in the 60m dash and 200m dash at the Gotham Cup.
Chazwyn Price (SSU) won the 200m dash with at time of 22.17 at the Jimmy Carnes Indoor Invite.
Shamire Rothmiller (SCSU) finished among the top three in the shot put and weight throw events at the UAB Blazer Invite.
Sasha Smallwood (B-CU) posted a mark of 3.40m in the pole vault at the Jimmy Carnes Indoor Invite.
Torrance Womack (NCAT) set a school record in the 300m run with a time of 33.42 at teh Virginia Tech Invitational.
Donta Young (SCSU) set a school record in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.11 at the UAB Blazer Invite.
