Norfolk, Va. - December 14, 2011- Hampton senior Reggie Dixon was chosen as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week, while Coppin State senior Christina Epps was named MEAC Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Dixon (Sr., Plainfield, N.J., Sprints) won the 60m and 200m dash at the Golden Flash Gala hosted by Kent State. Dixon's time of 6.67 in the 60m dash leads the nation and set a meet record. In addition, Dixon finished in first place with a personal-best time of 21.33 in the 200m dash.
Epps (Jr., Morristown, N.J., Triple Jump, Long Jump) set a personal- best and school record in the triple jump with a leap of 41-5.00 ft. (12.62m) at the Princeton New Year's Invitational. Epps currently leads the nation in the event.

Ariel Allen (FAMU) captured gold in the 400m dash (57.66) and the 800m dash (2:14.41) at the Birmingham Ice Breaker Invite.
Tariq Devore (DSU) won the 600 meter dash at the Princeton New Year's Invitational with a time of 1:20.27.
Ketsia Dornevil (DSU) won the 600m dash (1:34.73) and aided in a first place finish in the 4x400 Relay (3:51.94) at the Princeton New Year's Invitational.
Steve Emere (FAMU) earned a first place finish in the triple jump (15.39m) and fourth in the 200m dash (22.13) at the Birmingham Ice Breaker Invite.
