Hampton's Francena McCorory finished second in the finals of the 400m dash on Saturday at the 2010 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Drake Stadium on the campus of Drake University.
McCorory,a three-time NCAA champion in the 400m dash, ran a 50.52 in the finals to edge out Natasha Hastings, who ran a 50.53, for second. Former Norfolk State Spartan Debbie Dunn won the event with a 49.64, setting a personal best and posting the fastest time in the world.
McCorory's time was a personal best in the outdoor 400m dash.
Former Lady Pirate Kellie Wells finished second in the 100m hurdles with a time of 12.84. Lolo Jones won the event in 12.69, while Damu Cherry finished behind Wells with a time of 12.86.
