MEAC ANNOUNCES TRACK AND FIELD WEEKLY HONORS

Howard senior Landria Buckley and Maryland Eastern Shore senior Allodin Fothergill were named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Track and Field Athletes of the Week, the conference announced on Thursday.

Buckley (Sr., Romulus, Michigan) won the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.43, which tied the meet record at the Colonial Relays, hosted by William & Mary. She also took home first place honors in the 400m hurdles in1:00.17.  


Fothergill (Sr., New Hampstead, New York) won the 200m (21.38) and 400m dash (47.29) and aided the Hawks to a first place finish in the 4x400m relay (3:10.28) at the University of Pennsylvania Invitational.

Other Top Performers:

Shanneka Claiborne (NSU) won the 100m dash with a time of 11.69 and was a member of the 4x100m relay team that finished in third with a time of 46.11 at the Colonial Relays, hosted by William & Mary.

Eunice Jones (UMES) won the 800m in 2:09.72 and aided her team to a second place finish in the 4x400m relay at the University of Pennsylvania Invitational.

Francena McCorory (Ham) won the 200m dash with a time of 22.92 at the Florida Relays.

Thomas Speller (NSU) won the 200m dash in 21.17 at the Colonial Relays.

Predist Walker (Ham) recorded a top 20 finish at the Florida Relays with a time of 14.43 in the 110m hurdles.
