Senior sprinter Allodin Fothergill wrapped up his spectacular indoor season for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore this weekend at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Fothergill ran a 47.04 in the 400-meter dash on Friday, which was good for 11th overall. He failed to qualify for the finals, as only the first eight advance. Fothergill needed to run a 46.69 or better to qualify.
This is the senior's fifth trip to the NCAA Track and Field Championships. Last spring, he was named All-American in Outdoor Track and Field.
The Hawks open the 2010 Outdoor season March 19-20 at the Wake Forest Open in Winston-Salem, N.C.
