Howard's Buckley Selected For USA T&F Indoor Championships

Howard senior Landria Buckley will be among the competitors in the USA Track & Field (USATF) Indoor Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center on Saturday (Feb. 27) and Sunday (Feb. 28).

Buckley will compete in the 60m Hurdles. She qualified for the event after clocking 8.32 at the Penn State National on Jan. 29-30. Buckley was a gold medalist in the 60m Hurdles at the 2010 MEAC Indoor Track Championships. 

The concluding event of USATF's Indoor Visa Championship Series, the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships is the world's oldest indoor track championship, with the first meet being held in 1888 in New York. Approximately 700 athletes will be competing and U.S. athletes will have the opportunity to qualify for Team USA events, including the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Doha, Qatar.
