MEAC TO HOST INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) will host its Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships, Friday-Saturday, February 12-13, at the Prince George Sports Complex in Landover, Md.

Due to inclement weather, the track and field championships, which were originally scheduled to begin today, will now commence on Friday morning.. 

The championships will begin with the men's heptathlon and women's shot put competitions at 9 a.m. Other field events include the men's and women's long jump, the men's pole vault final, and the women's high jump. The afternoon continues with the men's and women's 800m run, 60m hurdles, 60m dash, 200m dash, and 400m dash. The finals for the men's and women's weight throw will close out the day's events.

Competition concludes on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. with the women's pole vault and conclusion of the women's pentathlon events. Early afternoon field events include the men's heptathlon, shot put, high jump and triple jump events.  A complete schedule of events is available here.

Saturday, February 13 is designated as Youth Day and Adopt A Team Day. Fans 18 and under are admitted free with a valid student ID.  Fans are also encouraged to select one of the participating MEAC institutions and show their support by wearing the team's colors.
