It marks the third major championship for the DSU relay team this outdoor season. The Hornets also captured the 2009 IC4A championship at the Penn Relays and the MEAC crown this season.

The Delaware State relay team will compete in the 2009 NCAA East Regional Championships later this month in Greensboro, North Carolina.
