CSU's Baird Places Second at Ursinus Pentathlon

Coppin State senior Natoya Baird posted the top mark in three of the five events at the Ursinus Pentathlon on Wednesday and finished second overall.

 

Baird finished with 3,404 points after recording the top individual result in the 55-meter hurdles, high jump and shot put.

 

She finished the hurdles in 8.46 which earned 889 points, cleared 5-7.75 in the high jump for 879 points and threw the shot put 33-11.25 earning 552 points. She also earned 648 points in the long jump and 436 points in the 800 meters.

 

Deondrea Hall finished fifth overall with 2,678 points. Her top scoring event came in the hurdles where she finished in 8.96, which earned 781 points.

 

Salena Weekly placed 14th with 1,935 points and Trave Glenn was 16th with 1,675 points.

 

Jessie Belden of Haverford won the competition with 3,478 points.
