CSU?s Morgan Places Second at Gotham Cup

Junior Carlinton Morgan finished second in the 500 meters leading the Coppin State men's track and field team at the New York Gotham Cup on Friday in the New York Armory.

Morgan finished second in the race in 1:03.83, while Joe Greene of Albany won the race in 1:03.64.

The Eagles also received top-10 finishes from Jieutonne Archer and Dale Dunn.

Archer placed fifth in the 400 meters and Dunn placed ninth in the un-seeded mile.Archer completed the race in 48.96, which ranks as the Eagles top time in the event this season. Dunn ran the mile in 4:28.30.

Andre Pinnock was 19th in the 400 meters in 50.80 and Julius Coleman placed 35th in the 1000 meters in 2:38.25.
