The Delaware State men’s indoor track & field team finished third at the University of Delaware Winter Invitational at the Delaware Fieldhouse Friday evening.
The Hornets collected 108 total points, trailing only first-place Monmouth (224) and runner-up Delaware (200) in the final team standings.
Delaware State collected four first-place finishes during the meet.
DSU’s Leslie Murray was the winner in the long jump, with a top leap of 6.87m. Teammate Francis Adjei was second, topping out at 6.65m.
Larrone Moore took first place in the 200-meter dash. Moore topped the field with a time of 22.72 seconds.
The Hornets also received a first-place finish from Alan Laws in the 800m run. Laws posted a winning time of 2-minutes-0.64-seconds. Delaware State’s Andre Easton was third in the 200 (2:02.34).
DSU also claimed first place in the 1600m relay. The Hornets bested the competition with a time of 3:22.50.
Delaware State’s Brandon Reeves was runner-up in the 400mdash with a time of 51.30 seconds.
