Bethune-Cookman University juniors Dianne Munroe and Joel Redhead were chosen as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Track and Field Athletes of the Week, the league announced on Thursday.
Munroe (Jr., Vryheid’s Lust, E.C.D. Guayana) qualified for the NCAA Regionals with a time of 23.71 in the 200m dash at the Miami Elite Invitational. Munroe’s time is the fastest 200m time, among conference competitors, this outdoor season. The junior was also a member of the NCAA Qualifying 4x400m relay team that took home third place honors with a time of 3:41.76.
Redhead (Jr., St. Andrews, Grenada) posted a NCAA Regional qualifying time of 46.57 in the 400m dash at the Miami Elite Invitational. His time of 20.96 in the 200m dash also qualified for the NCAA Regionals. Redhead ran the second leg of the 4x100 relay that successfully captured the gold with a time of 40.95.

Janet Brown (NSU) earned a first-place finish with a 5.98m (19-04ft) mark in the long jump at the Tony Waldrop Invitational.
Raphael Hall (NSU) leapt to a first-place finish and a NCAA qualification in the high jump with a 2.15m (7-00.50ft) mark at the Tony Waldrop Invitational.
Tanisha Wisdom (UMES) qualified for the NCAA Regionals and obtained the fasted MEAC Outdoor 400m this season with a time of 53.50.
