Rams Distance Closes Out Raleigh Relays With Strong Performances

 With the Rams sprinters and field event taking center stage Friday, the WSSU distance runners decided to show what they can do on Saturday on day two of the 2008 Raleigh Relays.

WSSU senior Kenneth Koech led the way for the Rams with a 56th place finish in section II of the men’s 1500m run. 4:22.83. He left behind runners from Howard, Seton Hall, and Howard to name a few. Also strong in the event was WSSU junior Cory Wright, who finished 64th in a time of 4:43.26.

Junior Jordan Holley finished 40th in the men’s 400m hurdles. He completed the event in a time of 57.98. Also finishing strong was WSSU sophomore James Legins, III, who finished 47th in a time of 59.93.

The Rams will return to action next weekend when the team heads to Durham, NC to take part in the Duke Invitational.
