Delaware State’s Larrone Moore won three events, and the Hornets claimed two relay titles, at the NYU Fastrack Invitational.
Moore took first place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.77 seconds. Army’s Robert Stovall was second among college runners (6.94), while DSU’s Lee Barnes was fifth (7.16). Moore was also the winner in the 200-meter dash, topping the field with a time 21.77 seconds. In addition, he was first among college performers in the long jump with a top leap of 7.27 meters.
Delaware State also had a good day in the relays, winning the 4x400 and 4x800. In the 4x400, the team of Andre Easton, Donte Holmes, Daeshon Davidson and Burton Clarke topped the field with a season best time of 3:12.54, more than a second ahead of second place Long Island (3:13.63).
DSU’s 4x800 team of Duke Mack, Christopher Walker, Alan Laws and Brandon Reeves posted a winning time of 7:48.53, nearly three seconds ahead of second place St. Joseph’s-Pa. (7:51.42). Easton (1:03.48) and Mack (1:03.64) were also second and third, respectively, in the 500-meter dash. Holmes was fourth in the 400-meter dash (48.16).
