University of Maryland Eastern Shore senior Tanisha Wisdom and University of Maryland sophomore Allodin Fothergill were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Track and Field Athletes of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday.
Tanisha Wisdom (Sr., St. Catherine, Jamaica) earned three top-three finishes at the Yale Giegengack Invitational. Wisdom won the 400-meter dash for the second straight week with a time of 54.66. She earned a second place finish with a time of 24.42 in the 200m dash. Wisdom also ran the third leg of the 4x400m relay team that captured the gold with a time of 3:45.06. This is the fourth time this season that Wisdom has earned Track and Field Athlete of the Week accolades.
In his first collegiate meet as a Hawk, Allodin Fothergill (So., New Hempstead, New York) broke the school record in the 400m dash with a time of 47.92 at the Yale Giegengack Invitational. Fothergill finished first in the 200m dash (21.84) and was the anchor on the 4x400m relay team that won the gold in 3:14.13.

Jahwaun Blair (SCSU) won the shot put at the Tennessee State Invite with a 14.97m (49-01.50 ft.) throw.
Tanisha Jenkins (NSU) finished fourth in the pentathlon at the Texas Roadhouse Carolina Classic with 3,004 points.
Dianne Munroe (B-CU) recorded two personal-bests at the Indiana Relays, including the 60-meter dash (7.55) and the 200m dash (24.34).
Joel Redhead (B-CU) won the 400m dash at the Indiana Relays with a time of 47.58.
Bryan Turner (FAMU) finished third in the high jump with a 6-08.00 ft. leap at the Texas Roadhouse Carolina Classic.
Tempest Vance (SCSU) finished second in both the 400m dash (57.82) and the 4x400-meter relay (3:56.64) at the Tennessee State Invite.
Rokesha Williams (MSU) won the high jump with a leap of 1.58m (5-02.25 ft.) at the HBCU Invitational.
