Rattlers Score Eight Top 10 Finishes At LSU

 The Florida A&M Men’s Track team scored eight Top 10 finishes in the LSU Tiger Indoor Invitational here Saturday afternoon.

Coach Rey Robinson’s crew carded three second place finishes in the event, which was the indoor opener for host Louisiana State.

Carl McKinzie (8.07) ran second in the 60 meter hurdles final, with teammate Greg Bynes (8.10) getting third; Daquam Lee ran second in the 800 meter championship, ahead of Rattlers Carlos Franklin (3rd at 1:58.20) and Stanley Suber (7th at 2:07.78), while Kevin Elliott (2.06 meters/6 feet, 9 inches) was second in the high jump.

Omari Crawford ran fourth in the 800 meters (1:58.53) earlier in the day, then ran as part of the FAMU “A” team along with Lee, Bynes and Suber, which finished eighth overall in the 4x400 (3:22.68).

Edwisht Olmann finished fifth in the triple jump (15.11 meters/49 feet, 7 inches), one spot ahead of Elliott, who grabbed sixth with a leap of 14.95 meters (49 feet, 3/4 inches).
