Maryland Eastern Shore senior Tanisha Wisdom and Delaware State sophomore Laronne Moore were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Track and Field Athletes of the Week, the league announced on Thursday.
Wisdom (Sr., St. Catherine, Jamaica) won three events and helped the Lady Hawks finish third out of 15 teams at the Fordham Invitational in New York, NY. Wisdom finished first among 27 runners in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.57. She also ran the 400 meter dash and won in 55.55. Wisdom anchored the 4x400 meter relay team that finished first with a time of 3:50.34. This is the second straight week that Wisdom has won Track and Field Performer of the Week accolades.
Moore (So., Hyattsville, Maryland) led his team to a second place finish among five teams at the University of Delaware Winter Invitational. Moore captured a first place victory in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.03 seconds. He also won the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.76.

Ronnie Ashe (B-CU) qualified for the 60-meter hurdles in 7.93 and won a first place finish in the finals with a time of 7.96 at the Tar Heel Invite.
Natoya Baird (CSU) captured two individual titles in the high jump (5-5 ft.) and the 60-meter hurdles (8.92) at the Delaware Invite.
Jennifer Chichester (NSU) finished eighth in the mile run at the Virginia Tech Invite in 5:16.45.
Nekisha Franklin (DSU) earned two first place wins at the Delaware Winter Invite in the 60-meter dash (7.75) and the 200-meter dash (25.63).
Ashley Hodges (How) won the 800 meter run with a time of 2:18.30 at the Virginia Tech Invite.
Clayton James (UMES) won the 800-meter run (1:55.54) and was a part of the 4x400 meter relay team that won in 3:17.88 at the Fordham Invite.
Anthony Littlejohn (CSU) led the Eagles to a third place finish with wins in the mile run (4:32.84) and the 3,000 meter run (9:24.66).
Rockel Mitchell (B-CU) won the long jump with a 5.85 meter (19-02 ft.) jump at the Tar Heel Invite.
Alexandria Spruiel (NCAT) broke the school record in the 500-meter dash with a time of 1:12.20 at the Virginia Tech Invite.
Marlon Woods (NSU) jumped a personal indoor-best and tied school indoor record with his leap of 24-03 ft. in the long jump at the Virginia Tech Invite.
