Former NSU Track Star Finishes 4th at World Championships



Former standout Norfolk State track sprinter Chris Brown took fourth place in the finals of the 400 meters on Friday morning at the World Track & Field Championships at Nagai Stadium.

Brown, a two-time Olympian representing his native Bahamas, ran a personal-best time of 44.45 seconds, a new Bahamian national record.

Jeremy Wariner (43.45) won the gold and led a 1-2-3 sweep for the Americans. He was followed by LaShawn Merritt (43.96) and Angelo Taylor (44.32).
