Patricia Easley Sivells joined the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) in February 2017 to serve as the Director of Corporate Partnerships after spending more than a decade as sales manager for two of the Hampton Roads area’s most prominent hotels.
She is also the owner and event specialist of Prestige Events, LLC, having served in that capacity since 2007.
Since joining the MEAC, Sivells has greatly increased the MEAC's visibility with corporate partners, as the conference now boasts 23 corporate partners heading into the 2021-22 academic year. She is also the coordinator of the conference's Read With MEac community service initiative, as well as the annual golf tournament.
Prior to joining the MEAC, Sivells spent six years as sales manager for the Norfolk Waterside Marriott Hotel in downtown Norfolk. Before that, she spent five years in the same position at the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel.
Sivells is no stranger to the MEAC, having been hired in the past by the conference as a subcontractor to plan and manage the conference’s annual golf tournament since 2015.
Sivells is a 1987 graduate of Norfolk State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. From 1982-85, she was a cheerleader for the Spartans, and she also joined the Zeta Gamma chapter of the Zeta Phi Beta sorority.
In 2000, Sivells received an Applied Associate Science degree in Hospitality Management from Tidewater Community College.
The Chesapeake, Va. native has one son, her “pride and joy” Reggie Garrett, Jr. – who is also a Norfolk State graduate and currently serves as an Strength, Skills, and Speed Coach for Athletic Evolution in Massachusetts. In December 2019, she married Michael Sivells.
Sivells is also the sister of former NFL great and 2017 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Kenny Easley. In her spare time, Sivells and her husband own Sivells Painting & More, and she also owns Prestige Events, LLC.
Her hobbies include planning special events and playing golf.
