Neema Connor joined the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) September 2023 as the Associate Commissioner for Compliance.
In this role, Connor will manage the Conference's compliance program and services as well as interpretations of the NCAA and MEAC Conference rules. In addition, she will serve as the staff liaison for the Compliance Coordinators Association and the Atheltic Academic Support Association and conduct conference compliance reviews for the 8 member institutions.
Before joining the MEAC, Connor served as the Associate Atheltic Director for Student Services at Norfolk State University. Prior to her role with Norfolk State University, Connor was the Assistant Director for Athletic Certification and Residency at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Connor is no stranger to the MEAC. She spent 17 years at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore beginning as a graduate assistant and concluding her employment as the Associate Director for Compliance/Senior Woman Administrator.
As a former Track & Field student athlete for both Essex County College and the University of Pittsburgh, Connor is a passionate supporter of atheltics, devoting her time to educate, inspire and motivate student athletes.
Connor holds a Associate Degree in Social Science from Essex County Collge, Bachelor Degree in Administration of Justice from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
Connor was born in Georgetown, Guyana and currenlty resides in Chesapeake, VA with her sons Noah, Marcellus and twin boys Martin and Malcom Connor.
