Green joined the MEAC in May 2026 as Assistant Commissioner for Strategic Communications. In this role, he oversees the conference’s strategic communications efforts, including media relations and statistical reporting, while serving as the primary media contact for football, men's basketball, bowling, track & field and golf.

Prior to joining the MEAC, Green served as director of strategic communications at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was the primary communications contact for women’s basketball and men’s soccer. Before that, he worked as assistant director of athletic communications at Wake Forest University, overseeing communications for women’s soccer, men’s tennis, track and field, and cross country.

A native of Spring Lake, N.C., Green played football at Methodist University before transferring to Winston-Salem State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management. He later earned a master’s degree in kinesiology from East Carolina University.
