NORFOLK, Va., Mar. 25, 2026 --Howard sophomore Cenaiya Billups was named Women's Track Athlete of the Week, while
Maryland Eastern Shore junior Lyee Simms earned Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Billups (So., Denver, Co) won the 400-meter hurdles at the USF Alumni Invite , running a nation-best time of 58.18.
Simms(Jr., Smyrna, Del.) placed third in the women’s high jump with an outdoor personal best of 1.65m while competing at the Hampton Inn River City Relays.
Other Top Performers
- Natalia Eastman (MSU) earned a second-place finish in the 800m with a personal-best time of 2:15.49.
- Gifty Oku(CSU) placed second in the 400m with a time of 57.08 and helped lead the Eagles 4x400m relay team to a second-place finish, clocking 3:57.77 at the Fred Hardy Invitational.
- Brooklyn Robinson (NSU) won the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.25 after running 13.30 in the prelims at the USF Alumni Invite.
- Shenell Simms (UMES) placed ninth in the women’s 800m with a time of 2:16.09 at the Hampton Inn River City Relays .
