NORFOLK, Va., Feb. 10, 2026 — North Carolina Central junior Antoni Pankowski has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Tennis Player of the Week, while teammate Santiago Pinna earned MEAC Rookie of the Week honors.  

Pankowski (Jr., Jelania Gora, Poland) won both of his singles matches last week, helping North Carolina entral to its first victory of the season over UNC Greensboro. Pankowski won at #11 NC State on Monday by retirement, up 1-0 in the second set. He followed that performance with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over UNCG's Sammy Presser at No. 5 Singles. The junior also won his doubles match with Naresh Bharathy 7-5 at the No. 2 position. 

Pianna (Fr., Tandil, Argentina)  won at No. 6 singles at UNC Greensboro, 6-4, 7-6 (7-3), helping the Eagles split the week and earn their first win of the season.
