Norfolk State’s Clark Earns Top Weekly Honors

NORFOLK, Va., January 19, 2026 – Norfolk State guard Da'Brya Clark was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week presented by Wells Fargo.  Maryland Eastern Shore forward Kaliya Perry was named Rookie of the Week, while fellow Hawk Ashanti Lynch earned Defensive Player of the Week honors.      

Clark (G, 5-7, Jr., Baltimore, Md.) scored 30 points, setting a new Norfolk State single-game record with nine three-pointers, and added 11 rebounds, five assists, four steals, and two blocks in the 85-41 win over South Carolina State. 

Perry (Fr., 6-0, F., Hampton, Va.) contributed 11 points, adding six rebounds, two blocks, and an assist in the 68-61 win over Coppin State. 

Lynch (G, 5-9, Sr., Hookerton, Nc.) registered 15 rebounds, two steals, and 28 points in the 68-61 win over Coppin State to help the Hawks remain undefeated in conference play. 

Other Top Performers 

  • Morgan Callahan (NCCU) posted 13 points, seven rebounds, two blocks, and two steals against Howard. 

  • Shanaii Gamble (CSU) grabbed 11 rebounds in back-to-back games against Maryland E. Shore and No. 2 South Carolina. 

  • Amaya Harris (NCCU) provided eight points in 15 minutes versus Howard. 

  • Mihjae Hayes (MSU) finished with 12 points, six assists, three rebounds, and a steal in a 61-59 win at Delaware State. 

  • Ariella Henigan (HOW) contributed 11 points and three steals in the win over NC Central. 

  • Ericka Huggins (DSU) scored 28 points while adding seven rebounds and two blocks against Morgan State. 

  • Khila Morris (CSU) totaled 34 points across two games, highlighted by a 20-point, four-rebound performance against South Carolina. 

  • Kailyn Nash (MSU) tallied 11 points, nine rebounds, three steals, and a block, including the game-winning layup against Delaware State. 

  • Zennia Thomas (HOW) recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 19 points and 13 rebounds in a 69-61 win over NC Central.
