NORFOLK, Va., Dec. 17, 2025-- Howard freshman Sayid Shakur was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Track Athlete of the Week, while teammate Sean Wray earned Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors.       

Shakur (Fr., Fort Washington, Md) placed 15th overall in the mile at the Seahawk Shootout, posting a time of 4:30.33 to rank fifth in the MEAC. 

Wray (Gs., Stafford, Va) won the triple jump at the Seahawk Shootout with a MEAC-best mark of 14.94 meters, ranking 23rd nationally.
