Athens, Ga. – The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (0–1) fell to Georgia, 94–29, on Wednesday night.
The Hawks committed 31 turnovers in the season opener. Trey Brown led UMES with six points and seven rebounds.

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Coppin State's men's basketball team dug themselves a large hole to start the game and were unable to recover in an 87-59 loss to La Salle on Wednesday night at John E. Glaser Arena. The Eagles now stand at 0-2 on the season while the Explorers were playing in their season opener.
Torrin Andrews led Coppin with 11 points as 11 different players scored points for the Eagles. Favour Aire added a career-high nine points, all of which came in the first half, followed by freshman Daveyon Lydner with seven, Baasil Saunders, Jamari Piercy and Hussain Williams with six apiece and DeMariontay Hall with five.
Taj Thweatt led all players with seven rebounds off the bench to go with a team-high two assists and two steals. Piercy, Aire, Lydner and Hall also had a pair of assists for the Eagles.

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- The Delaware State Men Basketball Program opened their season in a battle against the Owls at the Liacouras center on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025.
Zion Bethea, Ponce James, and Ademar Santos combined to score 51 of Delaware State's 65 total points, but the Hornets fell to the Temple Owls 83-65 on the road.
Bethea led the Hornets (0-1) with 20 points and eight rebounds. James tacked on 16 points, five assists and two steals and Santos chipped in as well with 15 points off of the bench.
Norfolk State def. Regent, 119-55 BOX SCORE | RECAP
NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State men's basketball put on a show Wednesday night at Echols Hall, cruising past Regent University 119-55. The Spartans' offensive explosion set a new Division I program record for points in a game, surpassing the previous mark of 118 set last season against the University of Virginia Lynchburg.
Junior transfer Devon Ellis led a balanced attack with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting, adding four rebounds, four steals, and a block. Anthony McComb III followed with 18 points, while Jordan Leaks poured in 15. Freshman point guard Adrean Newton notched his first career double-figure game with 14 points, and Keyontae Lewis (12), Mekhi Reid (10), and Elijah Jamison (10) also scored in double digits. Melo Baines and Jaquel Morris shared team-high honors on the glass with seven rebounds apiece, while Leaks dished out a team-best six assists to go along with four steals.
