NORFOLK, Va., –
North Carolina Central wide receiver Chauncey Spikes has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced today.
Howard’s Kedrick Green was recognized as the Defensive Player of the Week, while
N.C. Central’s Trevon Humphrey was named Offensive Lineman of the Week.
Morgan State’s Raymond Moore III was selected as Rookie of the Week, and
Howard’s Liam Allen IV earned Specialist of the Week accolades.
Spikes (WR, 6-2, 210, Sr., Burtonsville, Md.) caught nine passes for a career-high 208 yards and three touchdowns in the Eagles’ 35-14 win over Howard. His longest reception was an 80-yard catch. Spikes’ performance ranks as the fifth-highest single-game receiving yards total in program history.
Green (DB, 6-2, 202, r-Jr., Winston-Salem, N.C.) recorded a game-high 12 tackles, including 10 solo stops, and added an interception against N.C. Central.
Humphrey (OL, 6-5, 285, r-Jr., Greensboro, N.C.) graded out at 94 percent on his blocking assignments with five pancake blocks in the Eagles’ 35-14 win over Howard. He anchored an offensive line that powered N.C. Central to 471 total yards, including 321 passing and 150 rushing.
Moore III (QB, 6-4, 180, r-Fr., Baltimore, Md.) completed 17-of-30 passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns, while rushing for 76 yards on 13 carries in the Bears’ matchup against S.C. State.
Allen IV (P, 6-4, 185, Fr., Lake Mary, Fla.) averaged 49.7 yards per punt on five attempts, including two punts over 50 yards and one inside the 20. He also recorded a career-long 68-yard punt against N.C. Central.

- Malik Harp (S.C. State) recorded eight tackles, including four solo stops, against Morgan State.
- Elliott Janish (S.C. State) punted four times for 187 yards, averaging 46.8 yards per punt with a long of 57 yards, including one inside the 20.
- Thomas Johnson (N.C. Central) posted five tackles, three solo, along with 2.5 sacks for 20 yards and one quarterback hurry against Howard.
- Otto Kuhs (Norfolk State) threw for 311 yards and three touchdowns on 22-of-34 passing against Delaware State.
- Malique Leatherbury (Morgan State) totaled 140 kickoff return yards on five attempts, including a long of 46 yards against S.C. State.
- Marco Perry (Norfolk State) went 2-for-2 on PATs and punted five times for 202 yards (40.4 avg), with one punt inside the 20-yard line against Delaware State.
- James Reddick II (S.C. State) earned a 91-percent grade on his blocking assignments, posting seven pancake blocks without allowing a sack in the Bulldogs’ win over Morgan State.
- Tyler Smith (S.C. State) rushed for 110 yards on 18 carries with two touchdowns against Morgan State.
- Jianni Woodson-Brooks (Morgan State) recorded nine tackles, including eight solo, with a game-high two sacks against S.C. State.
