NORFOLK, Va. – North Carolina A&T’s Victorya White has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, while teammate Sara Giraldo earned Rookie of the Week
 honors.
White (So., Wentzville, Mo.) delivered a dominant performance, ranking first in average per frame (20.73), first in Baker average per frame (20.44), and in overall fill percentage (87.1), while tying for the most frames bowled (132). She also finished second in strike percentage (50.8) and third in makeable spare percentage (85.2).
Across five traditional matches, White averaged 212.0 pins per game, finishing sixth overall in the individual standings. Her top games included scores of 229 and 208, contributing to a total pinfall of 1,060. As the team’s anchor, White led the Aggies through competitive Baker play, posting a team-high Baker game of 211 as North Carolina A&T went 8-4 overall on the weekend.
Giraldo (Fr., Bogota, Columbia) also made a strong impact, finishing the week first in strike percentage (51.2), makeable spare percentage (92.9), in nine-count spare percentage (100), second in average per frame (19.76), and third in overall fill percentage (88.3). Earning her first MEAC Rookie of the Week honor, Giraldo showcased remarkable consistency in traditional competition, averaging 224.7 across three matches with scores of 218, 222, and 234. Her performance helped propel the Aggies to traditional match victories over Alabama State, Maryville University, Saint Anselm College, and Maryland Eastern Shore.
