Morgan State Earns Week 11 HBCU+ FCS National Award

The Morgan State Bears have been selected as the HBCU+ National Team of the Week for FCS college football games in Week 11 this past weekend.

Morgan State (36-28 win at Delaware State)

The Bears (5-5, 2-1) overcame a fourth-quarter deficit for the second consecutive week while positioning themselves in the MEAC title race in advance of a home game against first-place South Carolina State. Sahr Gbunema’s third field goal put coach Damon Wilson’s team ahead 30-28, then Andre Crawley added a 16-yard touchdown run. Jason Collins Jr. finished with 24 carries for 152 yards and a TD, while defensive end Lance Byndon had two sacks among his five tackles.
