After three days of intense 3-on-3 competition, Team MEAC/SWAC, comprised of Morgan State's Lagio Grantsaan, Texas Southern's AJ Lawson, Arkansas Pine Bluff's Dequan Morris and Florida A&M's Bryce Moragne fell to Team Big East/A-10 in the Semifinals of the 2022 Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship. Team Big East/A-10 ended up beating Team American/C-USA for the title. Team Big East/A-10, comprised of UConn's RJ Cole and Tyrese Martin, Creighton's Ryan Hawkins, and George Mason's D'ShawnSchwartz, took home the $50,000 grand prize after defeating Team American/C-USA in the championship game of the Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship on Sunday afternoon in front of a standing room only crowd at The Sugar Mill in New Orleans and an ESPN2 national TV audience. Grantsaan was one of 64 players who elected to begin their professional careers in the event and finished the weekend by averaging 13.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and shot 54 percent from the field during the tournament run. The senior completed the 2021-22 season averaging 10.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and shot 48.2 percent from the field, 65.7 percent from the free throw line, and 27.5 percent from 3-point territory. They started 1-5. They are 3-0 on Sunday.
