NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State red-shirt senior Jordan Strode and South Carolina State graduate student Bryeasha Blair were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week, the conference announced today. Howard’s Imani Bryant earned Rookie of the Week and Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors, while Kayla Roberts, of Norfolk State was named Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
Strode (G, 5-8, r-Sr., Charlotte, N.C.) totaled 39 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal in road victories over High Point and Longwood. She posted a career-high 23 points, with four boards, four assists and one steal in the win against Longwood.
Blair (G, 5-4, Gs., Chicago, Ill.) averaged 24.5 points, on 20-of-35 shooting, with 4.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.5 steals against Saint Andrews and Charleston Southern. She registered a career-high 25 points, with two rebounds, four assists and two steals, in a win over Saint Andrews.
Bryant (F, 6-1, Fr., Berkeley, Calif.) shot 71-percent (12-of-17) from the floor and tallied 25 points, 30 rebounds, one assist, four blocks and three steals against Saint Francis Brooklyn and Robert Morris. She posted a career-high 19 boards, two steals and one block, against Robert Morris. Offensively, she tallied 11 points in the road contest.
Roberts (F, 6-1, Jr., Miami, Fla.) averaged 12.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 1.5 steals in road wins over High Point and Longwood. Her 18 of the 25 rebounds came on the defensive glass and registered 17 boards, three blocks and one steal in a victory over High Point. Offensively, she totaled 31 points in the two games.

Mikah Aldridge (DSU) finished with 20 points, including three 3-pointers, one rebound and one steal against Xavier.
Kanesha Battle (B-CU) registered 10 points, six rebounds and three assists in a win over Flagler.
Jephany Brown (HAM) tallied eight points, four rebounds, a season-high three blocked shots, one assist and one steal, against James Madison.
Ciani Byrom (MDES) notched a game-high 23 points, on 7-of-15 shooting, with five rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block, against East Carolina.
Jihayah Chavis (MSU) posted eight points, two rebounds and one steal, in 32 minutes of play, against Dayton.
De’Janaire Deas (NSU) recorded eight points, on 3-of-3 shooting, and five rebounds, in a road victory over Longwood.
Jeremica Edwards (SSU) averaged 6.4 rebounds, 3.0 points and 2.0 steals against Jacksonville, Georgia Southern and Jacksonville State.
Braennan Farrar (MSU) registered 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals against Dayton.
Tiara Goode (CSU) tallied 28 points, including a school-record eight 3-pointers, and grabbed five boards, against Towson.
Aliyah Kilpatrick (NCAT) finished with 16 points, seven boards, three steals, one assist and one block against Appalachian State.
Te’Shya Heslip (HOW) averaged 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.0 steals against Saint Francis Brooklyn and Robert Morris.
Kaylah Lupoe (HAM) recorded a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds, with one block and one steal, against James Madison.
Shakerrya Morrison (FAMU) averaged a double-double of 11.0 points and 13.0 rebounds against Thomas and Western Carolina.
Lauren Moss (SSU) totaled 42 points, 20 rebounds, four assists and two steals against Jacksonville, Georgia Southern and Jacksonville State.
