NORFOLK, Va. — Savannah State graduate student Lauren Moss was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced today. Coppin State’s Chance Graham earned Rookie of the Week honors, while Tiyonda Davis, of Savannah State, was named the Defensive Player of the Week.
Moss (G, 5-8, GS, Alexandria, Va.) shot 52 percent from the floor (13-of-25) and 46 percent (6-of-13) from beyond the arc to finish with 39 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and one steal against Seton and Columbia College. She poured in 19 points, including four 3-pointers, with four rebounds and two assists against Seton Hall.
Graham (C, 5-11, Fr., Upper Marlboro, Md.) averaged a double-double of 10.0 points and 10.0 rebounds against VCU and Virginia. She registered 13 points, nine rebounds, two steals, one block and one assist against Virginia.
Davis (C, 6-4, Sr., Athens, Ga.) totaled 34 rebounds, seven blocks and three steals against Seton Hall and Columbia College. She posted a season-high 20 boards, with six blocks and two steals, in a win over Columbia College. Offensively, Davis averaged 9.5 points in the two games.

Keyera Eaton (MDES) finished with 19 points, on 7-of-12 shooting, with five rebounds and four steals, in a win against Cheyney.
Monnazjea Finney-Smith (HAM) registered 16 points, including four 3-pointers, with three steals, two rebounds and two assists against Northwestern.
Dominique Harper (NSU) recorded 14 points, five rebounds, two steals and one assist against UNC Wilmington.
Kenna Samuels (CSU) scored a team-high 11 points, in the season opener, against VCU.
Gabrielle Swinson (NSU) tallied a game-high six steals, three points, three assists and two rebounds against UNC Wilmington.
Malia Tate-DeFreitas (HAM) totaled 27 points, eight rebounds, six steals and five assists against Northwestern and Iowa.
