NORFOLK, Va., Mar. 31, 2026 – Norfolk State junior Regina Urbiola was named the MEAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
Howard freshman Franchesca Brown earned MEAC Rookie of the Week honors.
Urbiola (Jr., Queretaro, Mexico.) went a perfect 4–0 in singles for the week, posting wins over Delaware State's Sia Mahajan (6–2, 6–0), Morgan State's Marta Serra-Carles (6–2, 6–2), Howard's Camille Hall (6–4, 6–3), and Coppin State's Sirena Singh (6–0, 6–0). In doubles, she teamed with Angelina Maniawska to finish the MEAC Round-Up 3–1 in doubles play.
Brown (Fr., Atlanta, Ga.) went 1–0 in singles, defeating NC Central's Valeria San Miguel, and posted a perfect 3–0 record in doubles alongside Lauren Oliver, earning victories over Longwood, NC Central, and Norfolk State on the week

- Amira Bargaoui (MSU) posted a 3-0 singles record at the MEAC Round-Up.
- Sara Barbaric (NCCU) went 2–0 in singles at the MEAC Round-Up.
- Alejandra Hidalgo Vega (NCCU) went 4–0 in singles, highlighted by wins over Howard and Coppin State, and also won all doubles matches at the MEAC Round-Up alongside Valentina de Aquino.
- Yana Klimchuk (NSU) went 2–0 in singles and 3–1 in doubles at the MEAC Round-Up.
