NORFOLK, Va., Mar. 24, 2026 – Morgan State sophomore Tyler Williams was named the MEAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week.  Norfolk State's Yana Klimchuk earned MEAC Rookie of the Week honors. 

Williams (So., Baltimore, Md.) went a combined 8-0 in singles and doubles, helping the Lady Bears to a 3-1 record with consistent straight-set wins throughout the week. 

Klimchuk (Fr., Minsk, Belarus) delivered a perfect week, going undefeated in both singles (4-0) and doubles (4-0). 
 
Other Top Performers 

• Sara Barbaric (NCCU) secured the deciding point in a 4–3 win over Presbyterian. 
• Franchesa Brown (HOW) earned a three-set victory at No. 2 singles, versus George Washington's Victoria Sasinka (6-1, 4-6, 10-7). 
• Regina Urbiloa (NSU) posted a strong 3-1 doubles record and added two singles wins. 
• Mariana Zottoli (NCCU) helped lead NCCU to a 4-3 win over Presbyterian, earning a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles.
