The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has announced its weekly bowling honors, recognizing North Carolina A&T State junior Payton Hartgrove as Player of the Week and teammate Charisse Graham as Rookie of the Week. The honors reflect competition held March 6–8.
Hartgrove (Jr., Columbus, Ohio) delivered an outstanding performance, leading the field in overall average per frame (21.84) and baker average per frame (22.03), while ranking second in traditional average per frame (21.56). She also paced the competition in overall fill percentage (89.9%) and posted a strong strike percentage (58.6%), while finishing second in overall spare percentage (75.5%) and baker-only fill percentage (92.3%).
At the 2026 Music City Classic, Hartgrove finished 12th overall with a 215.60 average per game and a total pinfall of 1,078. Her top performance included a high game of 253.
Graham (Fr., Mansfield, Texas) continued her strong rookie campaign, ranking ninth in overall average per frame (19.29) and traditional average per frame (19.96), while placing ninth in baker average per frame (18.79). She also finished eighth in baker-only fill percentage (82.1%) and strike percentage (47.9%), while ranking 10th in both nine-count spare percentage (87.1%) and overall spare percentage (65.5%).
At the Music City Classic, Graham placed 36th overall with a 199.60 average per game and a total pinfall of 998, highlighted by a top game of 223.
As a team, North Carolina A&T State finished sixth overall at the 2026 Music City Classic with an 8-5 record, totaling 13,080 pins and averaging 204.4 per game. The Aggies went 3-2 in traditional play with wins over Wright State, Carthage College, and Western Illinois, and posted a 4-1 mark in baker play with victories over Tulane, Lewis University, Indianapolis, and Sam Houston State.
